sandymere 8,263
If it looks well then it is likely getting enough but a trip to the vet is always a good idea when not sure. At that age it should have a few small meals, I’d give X4 a day. Quote Link to post
sweeper1gg 4
I would try the dog with cooked chicken for a few days and it should destroy that,if it does then its just a fussy bugger if he still has the same problem with chicken then its a trip to the vet.ive never had a dog that refused cooked chicken. lapin2008 1,587
my older pup has always been a fussy little sh1t, refuses to eat dry food full stop and eats even BARF slowly. The only thing he goes into big time is when i pick up left over hogs from the local pup after they have a big hog roast. Even now at 12 months he is the same, I now give about 1/2 pound of raw chicken on the morning to start his metabolism and this has helped with the overall daily intake. My little 13 week pup is a monster on the other hand and can get through a 1.5 pounds of tripe and chicken in less then a minute and then goes off to find the others dogs dinners. Quote Link to post
lurcherdave 6
My pup was a picky eater i wouldnt worry to much about it, they eat when they are hungry Quote Link to post
chook1 184
My beddy x is picky with her food - she eats very little (probably the amount a small breed would eat) but she keeps her weight well and is full of energy. If the pup is full of energy and not looseing weight, then i wouldnt worry to much about it, if you start chopping and changing food, everytime the pup dosent eat, all's you will do is create a more fussy pup.
