Does make you question if its worth it when the dug gets a bad yin, part of the game though   hope the dogs ok

unlucky mate hope it all goes well , also sounds like you have a unlucky bit of ground on that permission, as for the 3000 costs at least you care enough for the dog to pay it mate, plenty folk these

It does scare you somewhat my bitch injured herself badly vet thought her cruciate had been wrecked thankfully it wanst and 6 weeks crate rest did the trick with pain killers.Make sure you get him some stuff to chomp on and keep him amused in the crate and keep his mind of it all.I feel for you mate but at least you cared enough for him to fix him and see him right not everyone would. My two have had some crackers over the years and everytime i have been in a state feeling guilty etc but then i dont think they would have much of a life being kept on lead and never allowed to do what lurchers do best. When one of my lot whos now gone sadly was diagnosed with various issues including his heart i was told not to let him run and i did it anyway for the sheer fact theyre born to run and i always felt if he died running he would have died happy

I hope both dogs are ok, and recovery well, it does put you off doing what you do when you see something like that. My dog at 12months went skidding in leaves and over a medium size log that i did nt see, ive never seen a leg swell up so fast, screaming had to run her back to the car straight to the vets, thought she'd badly broken it even the vet thought it might have to come off, but she ended up with serve ligament damage took 15 weeks in plaster and a lost pad, all in total a year to get her back fit. I feel for both of you I really do and hope all comes right in the end.
