RossM 8,149
Does make you question if its worth it when the dug gets a bad yin, part of the game though hope the dogs ok aye it goes hand in hand with the running game, and if it doesnt put the dog off then why should you be put off? i would bet my mortgage that both dogs would still give 100% and wouldnt do anything differently if the oppertunity came up again although i know i would. dws1410 8
As RM said operation was a success it took 3 surgeons 5 hours to put the leg back together on friday morning we got a call from the vet today all signs are positive hoping to get the big lad back tuesday night the bill is about 3 grand and rising rapidly the joys. killa-combo 142
unlucky mate hope it all goes well , also sounds like you have a unlucky bit of ground on that permission, as for the 3000 costs at least you care enough for the dog to pay it mate, plenty folk these days dont give a toss about there dogs and would of either left the dog or shot it , i found a lurcher left in a field the other week in a bad condition give the dog to a local kennel for rehomeing, as for the c**t who left it is in for a shock as we managed to find out who he was 1 Quote Link to post
reynardhunter 3
I know that feeling hope your mates dog gets to run again, and if you have to retire your bitch then so be it, as you said she,s done her job well for years, good luck mate Quote Link to post
dws1410 8
Spoke to the vet again today the big lad is managing to put weight on his leg so things are looking more and more positive he'll have to stay in a cage justing getting out for a crap and pish for about 10 weeks wether or not he runs again is just a waiting game. dws1410 8
dog got out of the vet tuesday about 50 odd stiches the length of his leg and swollen to about 3 times it's normal size it look likes like something out a horror movie. Vet thinks the dog will always have a limp and although he'll be able to run he will never work again the big lad needs to go back in in 8 weeks for another cat scan to check on the plates the bill up till now £3900 a expensive old game that lamping. But on the up side when the dog finaly dies i'll make few quid down a the srappies Quote Link to post
