Bizarre hypocrisy of antis

Recommended Posts

My brother in laws dad is an anti......not an animal rights activist or anything like that, but he is strongly against hunting of any kind. My sister asked me not to mention the fact I hunt just to keep the peace, which is fairly easy because I only seem him about 4 or 5 times a year. What really winds me up though is the fact he'll f'ckin sit there eating a burger/sausage/chicken etc. but then will go on about how people shouldn't kill animals, I feel like having a rant but I don't simply because I can't be arsed with the conversation. The veggie antis are bad enough but for someone to be strongly against hunting/killing animals to eat meat with no thoughts on how that meat comes to be on the table is just plain wierd!

I'm sure this sort of thing has been done to death on here but it really does do my head in!

There were a few teachers in my school who used to go and try to disrupt the local hunt. They went saying they were making a stand against animal cruelty, but one of their tactics was to spray hairspray into the the hounds faces..

i think you should tell him though rob,,, ask him if he has ever had a wasp nest detroyed in his house or mice rats ect,,, if he has hes even worse , like my mate............. with animals it all comes down to the cuteness , or how they look.. no one bats an eylid at insects or rats. if rabbits looked like spiders no one would give a feck

A lad I know asked me to go round and shoot a fox that he had caught in a cage trap Monday night, I phoned him when I got in and he said he had felt sorry for it, driven to a local country park and released it!!!

Its a sad fact but its true. If a shoot decided to breed loads of foxes then let them out for people to shoot out their would be uproar but because pheasants are not as "cute" as a fox no-one bats an eyelid.

Back to the original post, ye if he stuck to his guns and was a veggie then you could repect where he was coming from, (but disagree).

If he is eating his burgers and sausages and moans about hunters killing animals he is a 1st class hypocrite and i think i would tell him.
