I went to venice four years ago, we went to a pub in the centre for a quick drink cos it was proper boiling....as soon as we walked into a pub the waiter came over and showed us to the table, took our drink order and as soon as we'd finished he was straight back to the table asking us if we want another drink etc. We only had one cos we were on our way somewhere, so he came back with the bill.....£9!!! I had a pint of carling and the mrs had an orange (which was a can of tango and a glass).....9 feckin quid!!! No wonder he was keen to take our order without us going to the bar and maybe seeing the prices, cheeky b*****ds! and this was just a normal pub, not a restaurant or anything.
