appleblossom 687
Albert, Great idea to bring back the main Arena Demos. There was such fun and enjoyment in this for young and old. Also just a thought for 2012. Would it be possible to bring Whippets in line with Terrier and Lurchers and have a 5 Nations Championship for these beautiful dogs also. Whippets are a big part of all dog shows both here and across the water.

primrose02 5
good to see the roscrea team is taking over birr the working of the lure is far superior to that of the glenbank club, the racing at shanes castle was a disaster.the glenbank club secretary doesnt even own a dog.i also heard at a demonstration in newtownards square he couldnt even run to terriers across a carpark,i think that albert should let the whippet people take over all the racing in the north as ive been to there meetings and every race goes of like clockwork.also albert if you cant see whats happening at birr racing you will need to look into it.the man who shakes the drag then gives the signal to the lure man is stand at the side of the dogs were he should be behind the line up of slippers.ive been told the roscrea club members is watching him instead of the lure and they are useing coded signals like a slight movement of the foot before he signals to the luredriver.there for giving the roscrea club 4 or five lenghts on others in the line up.so i think you need to give this your immediate atention. the whistle blower

All members of the club should be busy organising and making sure its all running smoothly then there would nt be comments like the one above Y.I.S Leeview

With a hand powered lure such as the Roscrea team use your suggestion of watching secret signals by the lure man is likely to result in premature slipping - which would be noticed or possibly late slipping I cannot see how it would give anyone an advantage. PoppyB 22
Is there any chance the 5 nations would be repeated for the terriers again? Maybe on alternite years with the lurchers
