Guest Josy
If you wrote "running game only and not bothering any livestock" then i would have agreed with you. I gave you a scenario where i think a farmer would not be labelled as scum.....you cant see that....not my problem... Thats exactly what I did write and you said it was bollocks, have a look. You gave the scenario when you realized you had made yourself look a fool. Yes i'm the fool here................go and read post 96....you wrote the f*****g thing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Excuse me for not putting the word ONLY in There is no excuse for saying its NOT bollocks for shooting dogs for running game. Would that be your excuse for shooting a dog, it was not ONLY running game? Quote Link to post

Bogger 243
Bogger, Im no hard man and if you came out to f**k me off I would be on my way but I would like to see you take that attitude with some lads that poach. You know as well as I do you would be left by your landy in a pool of your own piss, blood and shit! No need for any hard man talk on these threads by either party, so lets leave it to the kids in the playground. first off i dont own a landy and never would they are wank as for the piss an blood or whatever you said if folks are right when they get stopped then im not going to be a c**t with them for no reason, but if the same person kept coming back time after time thats going to get old very quickly Quote Link to post

Born Hunter 17,775
And this is the problem the land owner has isn't it. 1 guy doing a bit of poaching, opening gates, careful of not disturbing crops and generally being respectful of the land and the other 'poacher' crashing through gates, worrying livestock, driving over crops and generally being a c**t. When he sees a dog what is he to do........leave it and hope they go away , contact the police who will do nothing or take matters into his own hands. Nobody is saying it is fair on the dog but when you put the dog in those situations you cant very well go crying when it goes tits up!!! Your right lab, theres poachers and then theres poachers. Personally I much prefer permission but lets face it, it aint easily come by and sometimes some places are just too good to not chance. Its a vicious circle for dog men! But shooting a mans dog who is doing no harm but running a hare or lamping rabbits or whatever is down right low and shitty. I can understand why some landowners do it but certainly dont agree with it. Its like someone getting their shed broken into all the time and then getting so worked up that when he catches a young lad pinching a plum off his tree he goes outside with a bar and batters the poor bugger! I wont ever agree that shooting a mans dog is right even if the owner is a c**t and especially not if hes a respectfull sort after a rabbit/hare. Its cowardly and will bring a whole world of shit. Great paragraph that mate and exactly what i was getting at. How many times have you read on here somebody was just walking there dog and got a bollocking but i'll bet 9 times out of 10 the farmer has had it up to the eyeballs with folk leaving gates open and trashing fences. I genuinely believe for every lad that walks the fields quietly with his mutts for a bit of sport and fodder there are 2 or 3 lads in jeeps/scoobys that are acting like thugish c**ts. Farmers are gonna get pissed off. Like I said, I much prefer permission and 95% of my work is on permission and 5% are accidental runs off permission, lol, so all this doesnt really apply to me I suppose but I would be a damn lier if I said I never had a shine over the fence or a slip while out on a mooch about.
