The neighbours got a cat which liked to spend some evening sitting on top of my weatherings and I'm sure on top pf the aviaries, my aviaries are a good 60 yds from her house and during the day I never saw head nor tail of the bloody thing, when it got dark it was straight down my aviaries spooking the birds out. I never knew this until a couple of late evenings when I stuck the lamp out of the window and there it was.

thankfully it now seems to have got the message and has never crossed the border on to my land for a good while now.........

We've got 2 cats aswell as a load of other animals and all the bop's. Never had a problem! there's a mutual respect between them!!!

There both good hunters, one's a Maine Coon and takes bunnies easily and is quite happy with us currently imprinting an owl in the living room at the moment with him

Trust me! if you have birds coming into breeding condition and Cats are sitting on the roof there's a 100% problem, I'm confident the reason my birds went down pretty late this year because of this.

Most birds don't go down to breed when they're spooked out expecially natural pairs. I couldn't understand why the birds was coming into condition one day and after the next evening they was spooked out and jumpy, after I put the lamp across the garden one evening it was then obviouse what the culprit was. I certainly havn't got a problem wethering a Goshawk on a bow in the garden infront of any cats! it would take a pretty hungary cat to want to tackle a Gos, but when they sit on top of wetherings and aviaries in the evenings I have a big problem .

100% mate and even though im not breeding i would definitely not want a unfriendly cat sat on my aviary spooking the bird thorough out the moult..the only answer to that would be silenced with lead..
