how often?

Recommended Posts

hi all i was just after a bit of advice on how often you would take a 12 month pup out on the lamp? ive had mine out twice in the last week and she is doing really well, im tempted to get her out tonight but dont want to over do it and push her to hard. what would you suggest? atb mart

id say that the length of time spent lampin an number of runs would be more important than the ammount of times ye have took the pup oot,

if that makes sense lol, id rather gee it 3 runs, 3 nites a week, than 1 nite wae 10 runs...

an that wid only happen if the dog was ready for it, an you the owner should know better than anybody ;)

yeah i see what your saying dotty shes keen to run but on the 2 nights she was out had 5 runs the first night caught 3 and 4 runs the second night and caught 2. when i put her in the truck for home she was not imprest with me at all, she has plenty of stamina to do more but just dont want to over do it, shes the first pup ive had to bring on so a bit unsure to be honest

well mate if you an her seem to think she is capable of more, then why not??? there is a fine line between over dooing it, an keeping a keen pup happy,

but like i have said mate, nobody is in a better position than yourself to judge how much to gee the youngster

the weather tonight is looking very good for lamping here. if the winds up with a bit of rain or theres either just rain or a good wind it wouldnt hurt to take your dog out for a run as the conditions will help out your dog. imo it shouldnt hurt to take the dog out tonight providing the weathers good.
