markha 99
I posted in this section because other airgunners, myself included, have been spotting black rabbits and thought I would share the rest too. Gray rabbit head shot with air rifle and showing its good side Black rabbit heart/lung shot with 17hmr from 190yds, small entry hole, broken ulna/scapular, no exit hole. Ginger rabbit head shot from 30yds by my nephew with 12g, believe me it is showing its good side. 1 Quote Link to post
fry 209
do the ginger ones tend not to have so many companions as the other colours?? like humans Quote Link to post
deano26 16
nice shooting mate, never seen those colours other than in petshops Quote Link to post
markha 99
No need for blushing, Once you get out there youll find all kinds of differences in nature. I have seen a fair few bumble bees this year with either solid black bodies or solid gold bodies but no stripes, Im wandering if they are commercialy bred bees that have escaped, as I know there are some very big greenhouses about that hire bees to pollenate the crops. I have seen white rabbits in one field, proper albinos they are, plus a fair few black rabbits and one that is the size of a Hare, but alas it seems to be 'charmed' as its been shot at a number of times but just seems to get away! I have never seen a black Hare though. I have seen black ptarmigan that forgot to change colour in the winter as well as white ptarmigam that forget to change back in the summer, weird. The natural world never ceases to amaze me. Quote Link to post
