nat 8
What's the smallest lurcher that's taken a Charlie? Just curious as iv got a problem with Charlies around our smallholding but my beddie/whippet 2nd cross is only small not too sure on size but probs around 18'. I wouldn't have a go with him but wondered what's the smallest lurcher to have taken 1 pre-ban. Cheers Quote Link to post
the big chief 3,099
mine was 24 and half inch bedy x whippet xgreyhound pre ban Quote Link to post
chorey juk 10
i think most lurcher crosses with a hardy terrier in them will kill a fox no matter wat size they are Quote Link to post
bird 9,942
whippet will tackle foxes, lots of small dogs have got balls to kill foxes, just look at jacks, pats, they will kill a fox. Theh bigger type dog will kill more easy because of the power, but whippets will have a go no prob, might get knocked about a bit though, but with the the ban use a gun .! Quote Link to post
rolysmate 49
have seen a 16.5" whippet tackle one and a 16" bull whippet but would want to get in and finish things quick myself Quote Link to post
nat 8
16.5 is smaller than I was expecting, suppose my dog will have more power than I thought ... Yeah Iv hit a friend to sort the problem using a gun Quote Link to post
snizle06 202
ive seen 30 inch deerhounds tucking tail and letting fox go. and small whippet crosses getting stuck in really depends on the individual dog. 2 Quote Link to post

ftm 3,357
as has been said its all about the size of the individual dogs HEART ive also witnessed a few big dogs "cock" on charlie yet seen whippet crosses get the job done Quote Link to post
whin 463
saw 24 inch colie type kill them on site without even seeing one before then other dogs not even looking at them until mature and ready ,i would rather have adecent size dog to get in and finish job than a battle Quote Link to post
rolysmate 49
its not the dog in the fight that matters but the fight in the dog!!! Quote Link to post
