first time fishing

well to ladds i work with were on about fishing and i said i havent been so decided i would go next time one of them went.

over the next weekend my mate rang me and said the is a nice little rod and real set in a tackel shop he was in and did i want him to get me one so as it was cheep i said yes i wasnt expecting much but when he brought it to mine i was suprised it is a storm reble heavy duty pier rod and is nice and light.

we desided we would go fishing after work on saterday and if i diddnt like it he would buy the rod off me as a spare for himself.

 

well i loved it and am hooked

 

we got to roker at 3pm and there where a few people there so my mate showed me how to cast and i started spinning after a bit we noticed no one else was spinning and changed to some rubber rag worm but after about an hour we still havent had a bite so i thought i would put on some silver feathers and start spinning again which i think is better as i get bord easy. the second cast in i hooked a nice size mackerel so was over the moon that was the only fish we caught but that diddnt bother me and will be back next saterday

 

so that is my first experiance with fishing

 

i am now wanting a nother rod and am wondering if anyone can help

 

i want a 9/10 foot spinning rod and reel but want one that will last me a long time dont want to spend a fortune around the £100 mark
