Can't you just open the case up and snip the wires off the bleeper part?   If the lad is new to digging, wouldn't some good advice be to find someone experienced to go out with before shoving his ow

my mate done exactly that 2 weeks ago and it still is asking me to caliberate it ,i must try it again tomorrow and see if it works ,thanks for the info pal :thumbs:

The arrows are shite on any box i've used, 3 different barryvoxes and numerous B&F's. They give a rough idea at best

Ignore them and use the numbers.

i had the same but in the book i read you have to calibrated more than 3 or 5 meters away from the transmitter and i did and now mine are pointing the right derection

Reminds me of a time I invited a lad up from England for a dig. He claimed to have dug this and dug that :whistling: . Well anyway dog goes in, he walks about with this B&F box saying fookin hell...fookin hell its miles away. He was following the arrows and was about 50 metres away from where the dog was :laugh: I could hear it thumping under my feet!

And he couldn't dig worms for a sick sparrow either. Useless. Needless to say he hasn't been back.
