hi i am new to digging just starting out whats the barryvox locater like and how do you use it with terriers as its an avalance tool. i was going to buy a b&f cuz they look easer to use and dont make a noice cause that beeping would do my head in

go for new B&F collar and mammut barryvox pulse 3.00. it s the best combination that money can buy. mammut box is far better than B&F box. faster, user friendly, more accurat, beter functions....

How easy is that barryvox tho to use and can you turn that beeping off or down verry low and how far will the barryvox box go as in depth

Very easy if your not retarded. Some folk still cant get to grips with bellman/barryvox (prob not out enough to learn)

 

If you cut the end off a set of old shite headphones and stick the jack into the barryvox, it will cut out the sound.

or you can just tape up the speaker then job done...and yes barryvox are easy to use.

Can't you just open the case up and snip the wires off the bleeper part?

 

If the lad is new to digging, wouldn't some good advice be to find someone experienced to go out with before shoving his own dogs down any holes? He might not be able to get them back out!

 

Just a thought like ................ and I know how difficult it would be to find someone to take an unknown out.

 

But surely it's never a good idea to buy a shovel, a dog, and a locator and learn the hard way?!
