Guest Leveller

I've seen Eddie today what ever the blokes doing now circles around his fishing he hasn't dug to a fox for a few years now because he's getting on a bit but what he's done in the past cannot be taken away from him. He's keen to pass on information and would do anything to help anyone out.

He's having a show at his place this weekend so go along and meet the bloke.

Well I should have known to check the sites pages and come accross E Chapman, unfortunatly I am to busy ironing my mole skins (I wish when they killed the mole to make the trousers they would iron it then!) and also washing and grooming my russelss from the bull shi**er x rialway lines.

I appreciate Eddie is now knocking on, not that old though and neither he or his terriers have done proper terrier work for a while

Your comments on Eddie not charging stud fees to workers this may be partly, I repeat partly true as he opeartes the principles as he has done for years "sell pup, if no good bring it back and you get another 1, he breeds off the failure and never loses" DOG BREEDER simple fact, has no morals!

Nothing wrong with breeding working dogs in any breed so long as the working qualities and not the show qualities are paramount and the pups go to working homes, these morals/principles are not with Eddie, Jonesy, Cloughie, Mousley to name the so called big names, all fact, all cashed in on the ruination of the russells. I am not against breeding, if nobody bred there would be no terriers. I have met all the names and have seen terriers out in the field from all, I am not going to be an idiot and say they are al sh**, of course the amount of pups churcned out there is bound to be 1 half decent terrier, that is not the reason for my comments, my comments are because of the Plummer diciple sh** that is published on the site, remeber what the site is called "Hunters.com" not "show sh** rus", talk workers and not showers, I have not enough time to monitor sh**, work and practice with my pooch on how to stand and glare at my chocolate biscuit in my right hand, walkies, as Barbara Woodhouse would say.

Just off to polish my Fell boots (guaranteed to trick everyone with them on)

Tally Ho, a showin I must go!

I went fishing with the man a few weeks ago & that is his passion now..............Seemed to me like his missus was more into the terriers from a "show" perspective............I met him once & he was good to me giving me some great fishing & hospitality , We agreed to disagree I suppose on terrier ideals but a man who believes that a terrier should bay & bolt is going to have different views on someone who keeps a harder type with a more forceful work approach............Horses for courses I suppose & if people want to part with good money for out of unproven show types then more fool them.............Eddie has done alot more than alot of lads so if he wants to make a few quid of the back of his "success" as a terrierman then , whilst its not for me , its his buisness.....

My patt "Charlie" & A chapman bred russell who we dug to a few times last season.............2 dogs with work styles at totally opposite ends of the spectrum !!!!

Thanks cambrian...........I think as you gain more expereince in this game you realise that it really is horses for courses , as long as people are straight about what their dogs are doing it really is their buisness............I know what I want out of a terrier & as a result I know what lines I'd use or go to if stuck , Yappy bolters & hard pushers all have their place in our game.........
