Hi Benji,

 

Got to say the best shots in the world miss sometimes mate and anyone that tries to make out that they don’t miss is being very naïve indeed.

 

Festa is a realist and shows exactly what he does in the field, if he misses he shows that and if he makes a kill he shows that too buddy.

 

I find this very amicable to tell you the truth buddy.

 

In the DVD that we are making at the moment there is a full section of many misses pal. Some of them are as close as 15 metres on rabbits.

 

Doesn’t mean I or any of the lads filming are poor shots it just shows we are human and humans make mistakes from time to time.

 

Regarding the mouse I think Festa was getting at the mouse is a field mouse and so wouldn’t really cause any damage.

 

I think his comment was taken the wrong way by mistake. He is a nice bloke and wouldn’t have meant anything more than that.

hi zini i know not everybody hits ive just replyed to a post saying i decoyed hundreds of pigion and shot 10 my first ever sesion on them and 8 out of ten had landed in field i just thought his answear was abit bitchy thats all maybe read it wrong

They have fur which is sandy / orange brown on the head and back, yellowish on the flanks and white on the belly

.Adults: Head and body – 100mm; Tail 70 – 90mm. Male can weigh 25g, and the female 20g.Their lifespan averages two to three months, but they can survive as much as 20 months in the wild, or two or more years in captivity. The breeding seasons are March/April to October/November and gestation lasts approximately 25 days. They grow their first fur after six days; their eyes open after 16; and they are weaned at around 18 days old. Survival of the young and adults is poor during the first half of the breeding season as adult males can be aggressive towards one another and to the young, who are then driven from the nest They eat a high proportion of the seed crop of trees such as oak, beech, ash, lime, hawthorn and sycamore Small snails and insects are particularly important sources of food in late spring and early summer when seeds are least available and larval and adult insects are plentiful.

Yeah its all good buddy .

 

Its always good to see different posts and see different things shot that we dont always see on here pal.

 

A small target like that at a close range is harder than a small target on your zero range.

 

You would of have to gave plenty of hold over to hit that at close range a shot that many would of tried to give hold under to and missed by miles.

 

Got to aplaude you for that buddy.

Thank's again for that comment..i do a lot of shooting not consistently but quite a bit all the same..mainly woodies/bunnies and feral's and the odd nuisance carrion or magpie..i also mess about in my garage and garden at close range with my 7 1/2 yr old niece who loves it and her friend's doing bit's of target shooting..on rainy day's..so you sharp get the hang of how much over and under hold to give..

come on two pest controllers arguing about what type of mouse it is on a hunting forum ! and some one saying at least he hit it you missed a squirrel and loads of rabbits! well its amused me. you cant put a pic up of a shot mouse argue about what type and expect folks not to think its funny. can you ??? sorry i aint trying to offend you it just cracked me up. it has been one of the funniest threads on here for a long time.

i have a new on the market gizmo i use for mice , it's a quick kill and i dont have to be there waiting for it to come out.

I have mouse trap's rat trap's live catch trap's and poison..i have hen's and tiny 4wk old serama pullet's that free range and can get anywhere..trap's and poison will not be used as the risk to the pullet's is too high..
