Any help would be appreciated regards andy Total waste of time asking this time of year in my opinion mate. The pigeons aren't doing any damage at the min'. What you've got to remember is that Farmers aren't letting you shoot pigeons on their land so that you can have a bit of fun! They let you shoot in order to rid them of a major pest doing damage to crops, in other words as far as they're concerned you are there to do a job but only when a job needs doing. If someone came knocking on your door asking if they could unblock your drains when theyre not blocked what would your answer be??? A couple of things to consider: once you've asked and been refused, you can't really ask again, so patience is the key. Wait until start of February mate that way it's the end of the game season, it's winter so pigeons are generally flocking up and the crops are out of the ground and being fed on. Have a drive around for a couple of weeks (especially weekends) and spend some time finding where and what the pigeons are feeding on in your area, then when you've found a lot (2-300 +) and you haven't seen anyone shooting aproach the Farmer and say something along the lines of " i drive past your land regularly and have noticed hundreds of pigeons stripping your rape and not seen anyone controlling them, would you like me to decoy them for you before they do too much damage......etc. Good luck Edited September 30, 2011 by carpentermark Quote Link to post

farmerkev09 105
you find it hard try being 20 year old they look at me and laugh but i take my shooting very seriously and offer them a days work in the field which i find enjoyable and once you get talking to them i always offer sorting out the fox problem because thats one thing that a farmer aalways needs to keep on top of Quote Link to post
