I seen a real good one, Deerhound/Grey X Saluki/Grey,..with a little cattle dog way back there...Pre-Ban, the bitch took over 100 Roe before it was a year old, single handed...not that big either,...about 24" i think?...

It wasnt my bitch mate,...but i seen it run a BUNCH of times, and its LETHAL on hoofed game...people dont beleave she has done that, but she was in an area where you could (and she DID) take a bunch of deer...this was all Pre-Ban, and the owner had lots of permission...still does, but she is only run on rats and rabbits now, due to the Ban... ...never mind, just remember the good ole days eh?...

 

 

I can remember being out with the bitch and her owner...she had allready killed two Roe, and we was on the way back to the truck, and there was deer running everywhere,...the bitch was doing cartwheels on her slip,..and i asked the owner "Why 'aint you slipping her!?"...and he said "I cant be f****d to keep cleaning them all,..its doing my head in!"....thats when you know a dog is good!..lol.

 

You could turn her into woods, on a full moon, with a clear sky (NO lamp) and she would kill deer...i seen her do it a bunch, so it wasnt a fluke....funnily enough, she was half hearted on rabbits, and she wasnt that keen on fox, but i did her that just before the ban she turned onto them fairly!?...a great hare bitch though.

i ran a deerhound-greyhoundxbedy-greyhound on all kinds of quary and he took his fair share of all he stood 27inchs was one of the best lurchers i ever had he even landed my fish for me---grate dogs cant fault them

was catching rabbits at just under 6 months and is doing really well at the moment her recall is near perfect and jumping well, cant wait for the season to start properly.

 

 

 

stunning bitch thurso, i bet when the penny drops and everything clicks into gear, she'll be a pleasure to own, bet she can cover some ground and jump for fun...excellent bitch

cheers hairyface shes a joy to own, she has a great nature with the other dogs and around home but when out in the field she is a different animal as soon as we enter a field she is off the lead and no probs, a switch is turned on and she knows what is expected of her.

 

she has started to really answer me now and knows that i know best and trusts where i put her or direct her, she has shown me in this last month that im in for some fun this season

Approx 25" - 26" , coming on ok, hard work to juggle the training working 24hrs a day but she aint doing too bad.

 

I think the Bull whippet blood is almost bred out of this litter.

shes looking good shay, shes more muscled than my bitch imo, soemthing i have to work on mine, what percentages would you put on the different breeds in these dogs makeup?

I would have to ask the lads again to be sure, just last time i spoke with P who owns the sire he said he was more or less grey / sal with about a 16th bull blood, that is greatly reduced obviously putting him over the dam which is I think 3/4 Deer 1/4 grey.

if you could ask him shay id be greatfull, im interested to know exactly what there make up is, not that it makes any difference other than to satisfy myself

welsh nutter i run a bitch of this make up and the only thing shit is what your talking ive run her in scotland england and wales on all quarry she has never failed me endless stay well mannerd and abit of pace to ferrets an bushes bot a hare bitch daylight but killes 10 in the lamp often she is not a 1 off seen over members of her breed do all so well.its just like a chef realy give him the right ingrediants he will create somthing delightfull. i think they are a decent breed of lurcher but there are others all so good or better
