ROMEO666 0
Most EU's bite if not handled properly, and an EU is a polecat native to europe, its a wild member of weasel family, and is in parts of britain. Some people claim to have EU's but they dont, unless they take a breeding pair from the wild, then you dont have one. You get a few numpties doing this and they end up with ferrets they cant handle, most of its about a quick buck. Quote Link to post

ALL FERRETS WILL BITE IF THEY WERE NOT HANDLED , THE TAMEST FERRET YOU HAVE EVER HAD WOULD CHEW YOU IF IT WAS NEVER HANDLED FROM A YOUNG AGE ,eu or wild caught poleys if had from an early age can and will act just like any other ferret come polecat if handled enough [infact when you have handled a wild caught or " eu" and domesticated it really cannot be called wild anymore ] if you have the time and patience most wild animals can be domesticated you cannot handle ferrets enough in my book regards paul Quote Link to post
barry lurcher 27
i really think wat gets peoples tempers going is the fact that quite a lot of people will advitise these types and charge or demand a stupid price for them ,and in some corners get it, but there are tidy lads out there who breed these and give them away as long as they know you will give them a good home. barry lurcher 27
i beg to differ on that i got, had a wild jill but she aint wild now, shes as tame as any other ferret i have ever had, but then all my ferrets ,polecats have and will be tame cause i put a hell of alot of time handling them , all this nonsence of them being savages must be taken with a pinch of salt . if your wild or polecat ,ferret is biting then you aint put the time in when you should have Quote Link to post

barry lurcher 27
Where did you trap her,, and how do you know she`s not a ferral ferret. hob was from a gamekeeper in scotland and the jill from another one in welshpool they were about 5 weeks when my mate got them i got the kit from these as to weather they are ferral well who knows but they got a lot of wild blood in them ,i aint got any cause to lie because i will not be breeding from her she will be jill jabbed or spayed , on another note my mate only works the 1st cross "Wild" over a normal polecat he dont work the others if that makes sense but they are wat they are Quote Link to post
The one 8,489
The one i had was totally different to a ferret really dark muscled up and he knew it as a thirteen week old kit and the features where different Quote Link to post
jac 12
There are over 47 thousand wild EUs in the UK. There heads are different from Ferrets . flater faces yet biger heads. I would imagine that from time to time kits are found and kept as pets or even mistaken for ferrets . Quote Link to post
