Hi, I need some help please. My 8 month old bitch has for some reason started eating her own fecese . Well I asume she is, I've not actualy seen her do it but there has been none in the run for the last 5 days. Not going when she is out for a walk either. Can anyone advise me. Many thanks.

It all ways kills me to see a dog eating it own shit i had one that would run to another dog when it asuemed the position and then wolfed it down still hot from the other dog the vet say it does them no harm but i hate to see it

Are you sure shes actually emptying and not constapated..the fact that she has been to the loo on walks would make me wonder.... :yes: And you havnt caught her at it so... :thumbs-up:

 

Keep a closer eye on her to make sure shes actually shitting because if she isnt then id get to vets..5 days is a long time to not goto the loo :icon_eek:

Rock sulphur in her drinking water and if it's still goin on put a drop of pineapple juice in her food,sounds feckin ridiculous, but the vet told me to do it and it worked.

 

Thats what i was going to sugest , pineapple in the food , apparently it makes the poo taste disgusting :laugh::laugh:
