bedlington lurchers

Recommended Posts

thats what i was hoping to hear mate,so its not a common problem then? atb dave

Nope its not a common problem, mine lives with 5 other dogs, and has ran out with up to 10 other dogs of all sizes,

from a parson terrier up to a 32" deerhound,

only time she would ever have a go at another dog is if they try to take anything high value off her (in that instance she would give them a warning first)

or if they go for her first, but even then she would try to submit first, before she had to fight back.

Probably the same place everybody gets their 'genuine tested' bull terrier blood from in a large % of bull cross matings - Thin air..

beddy grey with splash of whippet, shes 23" tts just under 7 months and really big boned, hard as nails and been easy too train, not done much with her just socializing etc. seems too lose self contro

where do all the good bedlingtons come from to breed all these lurchers ,must be hard to find a working bedlington.

my 1/4 beddy 3/4 whippet from working parents.12 months old, havent done much with him as iv been on operational tour for last 6 months but will be starting this season.wife has done a good job of basic training and has caught the odd rabbit out walking.

retrieves well alone but not with my other dog which isnt a problem as other dog wont be coming hunting anyway.

good with other dogs but not cats!

all the best.

Here's my 1st cross Beddy/Whippet. He is 18 months and taking rabbit night and day. Everytime we go out he seems to pick something new up and is keen as mustard on all types of game. His faults are that he is very possesive of his prey and that he tires quickly. I am currently working on both of these faults and am making progress slowly. This winter is going to be the making of him I think.

looks a cracker mate
