i have a huge run and hut linked to it by underground tunnells, its not brill but does the job, this year im wanting to get some hutches made anyone have any templates etc...ideas would be very welcomed.

see they have access to the hut, i fitted 2nd door inside but i only have nesting boxes inside and felt last winter was bit cold for them.

Sounds like they have plenty of room and if it's worked well for you then maybe just put some extra bedding in for winter, if it makes you feel better? If your ferrets were nice and healthy coming out of last winter, then they must of coped just fine. Have a look on ebay, there are loads of coops/hutches for sale....you could make your own version! But if your ferts were of a good weight, thick coat & healthy last winter, why put yourself through the hassle. Abt with whatever you do though.

yeah that looks good, im quite handy with the tools, like building my own things for the ferrets.

it costs £199.99 to buy off ebay i can make it for less than half the price might not be up to that standard but it will be ok for the ferrets

if bought a triple hutch off a guy i know who had it handmade by a joiner. this hutch is as strong as they come, well built and will last a lifetime. ive cut holes in the floors for them all to get about so they have a bit of space. also have a seperate run.

 

if i had the room i would definitley bin any ideas of building a hutch/run/ court and buy a chicken coup. ready built and you can get some cracking ones out there big enough to walk in.
