jasper65 6 Posted September 2, 2011 Report Share Posted September 2, 2011 been using standard kangaroo leather mews jesses and switching to flyng Jesses when flying my fhh free, seen the Bullet jess and leash sets online, just wondered if many use them and how they have found them in field , if so any recommendations of whom to buy from, quality being the issue not price I'm all into Inovation and think some is good but somtimes I think the old techniques and furniture is still the best, basically "if its not busted why fix it" point of view still got leather mews jesses on the the male I took up this year arctic but must say I love the braided jesses, I'll get them put on him in time but there's no rush just yet. as for the Bullets I know a few people who use them and swear by them. me personaly I'm not that fussed, its not hard to take a swivel off and re-thread some flying jesses on a bird, it takes a bit more time than the Bullet type but I can live with that. there's supposed to be other advantages to them too but have to say I have never really looked into it and probably won't Quote Link to post

grovsey 74 Posted September 2, 2011 Report Share Posted September 2, 2011 bullets where designed for a bird on a kill for ease or for puting on the bird when out in the field and NOT for tethering a bird on at home ,dont trust them and never will .dont invent the wheel again when there is nothing wrong with it Quote Link to post

arcticgun 4,548 Posted September 3, 2011 Author Report Share Posted September 3, 2011 if u got a bird made to the hood life is alot more simple she good withg the hood, local she does not need it steady as a rock, but its like grand central at my place and she silent there too, I get her out plenty so she happy and bounces to get out, she knows she on when she sees the dog I work with her, and she straight to glove soon as Im in her place, permisson just across road , so most days hood not needed but as I learn more with her I will travelk away so hood sensible to master Quote Link to post
