just plenty of different spots to try pal ,i know what your saying about educated game but they are scarce enough down my way so lads tend to let them run for another day .Do you not let game run ?

no nt really only because dnt want 2 b on the same spot all day. we got 3 or 4 dogs 2 try on any one day we go out nd the more spots we check more chance of finding game for them.

Why would you be on the same earth all day,i know its educated game and all that but if the dog in question is up to it and dont let the quarry push it about i cant see why you are on 1 spot all day.If the terrier is geting pushed everytime you are almost through to it,then i would be asking myself is the terrier in question up to it work wise. Not knocking your dogs as i dont know you or have never seen your dogs work so cant comment on them, but i know what we dig to will hold the quarry in one spot untill dug, educated or not.We used to keep the hounds aswell one time, great crack with a few good lurchers. All the best for the season, yis fm.

they do hold 9 out of 10 of them put when 1 wants passd it gets passd no mater how good the dog is thers educated game and theres very educated game. all morning i was there nt all day. all the best with your season 2 :good:

Steve, you can never say never, but what we are diging to for the last couple of seasons will not get pushed, but as you know the terrier game is full of twists, your best dog today could walk tomorrow, there only as good as there last dig,but so far so good. The way i look at it is,if they are not fit or good enough to hold the quarry while you are diging down to them then they are of no use to me,as i dont like diging holes all day after a terrier that cant hold its game.
