it depends how fresh the chicken is to begin with i suppose, but personally i feed in the mornings and take out what (if any) isnt eaten when i shut them up for the night, BUT during hotter months i feed at night when there are less flys about and remove leftovers in the mornings. but this is just my way of doing things, everyone does it different

stick them in as they are raw & whole , mine get there's about 10.30pm & what's left in the morning i bin

exactly! that's what I do and there's never any problems.

Don't quite understand the logic of the guy feeding them in the morning and taking it out at night but hey, each to their own!

and old timer.....combination of scare mongering and talking bollocks  Chicken left in the hutch over night is still OK in the morning, even in summer. Leave it in during the day during the summer and it starts getting iffy but I'd have though you'd have to leave it in for a couple of days before it'd become a killer. And in winter I wouldn't have a problem leaving it in for 2 or 3 days because the temperature outside is actually similar (or colder) than that of a fridge

I think the point was bying wings which are reduced and at the use by date or past it , not fresh ones left in over night , ; )
