What ever you use if it goes cloudy when its added to water AVOID it will almost certainly contain phenol, to be honest i use a bucket of hot soapy water & a stiff brush , on the flags , for anyone who keeps tere animals indoors in plastic bottomed cages get a handheld steam cleaner & once you have blasted it with that just dry it out , cheap & cheerful effective way to get rid of any germs ;)

I use dettol floor cleaner and that goes cloudy. I have looked up phenol and dettol and I can't see how it is harmful? Wikipedia says that phenol is slight acidic and will burn in its pure form, but watered down is absolutely harmless. They even put it in a Scottish whisky. Not saying your wrong kay, but I cant see anywhere that says Phenol should be avoided.

Phenol is classed as corrosive & toxic by the Environmental Protection Agency. Exposure to phenol can cause lung, heart, liver & kidney problems and can burn the skin. If you use disinfectant contining phenol, really try to rinse it very well, if you can still smell it, then it can cause a problem. Best to avoid using it if you can though as it can cause just as much problems for humans as it can for the ferts.
