Trying to find the right breeder

Recommended Posts

Never owned a lurcher before just terriers so I've come to the experts to get the right advice. I want to get a Bedlington lurcher or whippet of good working class, Not long till I leave the Army so now I have the time to devote I want to start building my pack. Had a look on the net but with no joy of enshuring a good worker. Anyone know who's the man or women I need to speak to?

Thanks for the help,

James

Personaly i would meet people who own and breed the type your looking for anyone who is happy to take you out with there dogs obviously works them so its a start secondly see both parents not just the bitch and deff dont touch a pup thats parents you cant see. Go to someone who breeds what your looking for dont settle for what anyone else tells you at the end of the day youl be training the pup and spending alot of years with the dog. I sertainly wouldnt buy a pup because i was told storys about its ancestory . As i say any genuine breeder who works there dogs regularly will be happy to take you out with different dogs in there kennel and give you advice thats the sort of person your looking for. The worlds full of people who say they work there dogs and there stock is tried and tested or such and such breeds good dogs but only you can realy make your choice in the end the breeder and the sire and dam are just the starting peg its you that finishes the final stages and makes the dog a dog.
