bird 9,969
Is there any scientific evidence that says alcohol actually does make some folk aggressive ?....or is it simply that some folk get brave with beer in them...... Never really understood that one... In my own extensive back to back tests I do notice a difference in how I feel after drinking certain drinks. I find Whiskey makes me feel very angry the following day and I notice I get wound up easier and am less patient. Gin makes me feel depressed and emotional. Ouzo gives me mad hangovers, likewise so does cider. If I stick to vodka, then 9/10 I will feel fine the next day. Sometimes I can feel a bit "thick" the next day, where whilst I do not have a headache or feel sick, my brain seems to be running at only 1/10 speed. This is assuming all other factors remain the same. If you are out on the town then the environment has a larger impact on how a drink makes you feel. If you end up in a potential hostile situation then any drink can make you feel more aggressive. I think its mainly because drink can heighten your emotions, so it can make you angry easier, and likewise can make you feel loved up easier. Hense, after a few drinks sometimes my missus looks very attractive. we go to the same pub then.! good job my mrs dont use this site
fcuktheban 140
Buckfast is a drink that has been know to cause aggression because it has high alcohol levels combined with caffeine http://freethinker.co.uk/2010/09/18/monk-juice-linked-to-violent-crime-but-the-abbots-who-make-it-dont-see-a-problem/

Never really understood that one... By the way ive not drunk beer since i was a kid just the odd glass of wine. There's lots of factors involved with drink but the main one is how quickly the alcohol gets into your blood stream. The quicker it goes in, the bigger the effect. They reckon that it acts by lowering your inhibitions and brings out a side of your character that you would normally keep in check. So someone who would normally never act on the private thoughts of whacking someone who annoyed them and appeared to be the most placid bloke in the world, could act on those thoughts if their inhibitions were lowered enough by drinking fast on an empty stomach, for example. It also clouds your judgement, so in your mind the stupidest little thing can seem a really big deal. I went through a short period of heavy drinking when a few things went wrong in my life when I hit my 20's. All the things that were getting me down came to the surface and I got myself into a bit of trouble. I was instructed to attend a course about alcohol abuse, and it forced me to look inward a lot and act with the new knowledge. Looking back now, I think that very few people who get aggressive through drink can blame it solely on the drink. It tends to bring problems to the surface even ones you wouldn't normally be bothered about and the quicker the alcohol goes into your blood, the bigger the effect. Just my take on it. Attack Fell Terrier 864
Never had a blocked nose through drinking, f*ck know's what that could be? I go out most Friday's, and I'm usually happy when I'm steaming but I can't go out have 3-4 drinks then come home, I don't see the point, I'd rather not bother going out in the first place. If I'm going out for a drink then it's gotta be a smash up to be worth it, and I'll get through about 20 pints on average.
NEWKID 27,316
hadn't had a drink for 8 weeks until sunday, the back wheels fell off in spetacular fashion. Started at 2 in the afternoon and rolled home around 3 30 am ( or so I've been told more than once), as usual just me and my brother left out, we don't seem to possess that cut off switch ( infact I'm suprised we were home so early lol) But the one thing I've noticed is the hangovers last days now, felt like shit on sunday ( obviously), really depressed on monday, and still a bit paranoid on tuesday ( sounds like a Craig David song). I found once I was the wrong side of 30 the hangovers got worse. Not really ever noticed sneezing or hayfever type things before though.

Cold Ethyl 63
Alcohol lowers the inhibitions thus making people relaxed and more likely to do something they wouldnt normally or less restrained gnasher.Ive always drank spirits usually vodka morgans or Jack daniels on occassion and only at the weekends.Im a really happy drunk though and mischevious rather than angry or agressive.i never understood people who want to fight cos they had a few im the opposite i just wanna sing and dance and carry on
