Cannyboy 34
normaly start mine around 6 months mate on nice easy small warrens, but all ferrets are differant some mature quicker than others so you just got to try and judge them yourself when you think their strong enough Quote Link to post

muddy210 34
entered last years kits yesterday they are 13month old one of them to to the job briliantly other worked but not with the same energy she will get the idea though could see it dropping in by the end of the day. but have entered ferrets at 6 months before deoends on ground and ferrets that you have if they are small burys then no probs but big burys in hard going ground are going to be a struggle for them i always opt for a small bury to start any ferret atb with them though mate Edited September 1, 2011 by muddy210 Quote Link to post
michaelq 0
bout eight months i would usualy run them through small warrens just to get them used to travelin atb Quote Link to post
Plong 21
If you have older ferrets I would not be in a rush to enter kits, can be a pain until they settle down won't come out of setts and don't always work the sets very well. Will come into their own in the second season, by all means give them a bit of work but expect one or two little problems to start with. Quote Link to post
