Anyone catching pike?

That's the kind of stories I'm hearing mostly Niall. Do you see any difference this year as to other previous years ????

 

to be honest i have not been out much this year. tho the times we have been out the catches are not the same.

where i fish weed is playing a major part in fishing the spots that have always proved good in the past.

fished 3 days last week with two doubles and another had to go far side of country

my view is the country has been robbed of fish and i think forign lads should be deported

as some lakes that are well kept are fishing well so cant be just the weather

great going fatman had only one twenty so far would love a good 30 like yours

Any decent pike lakes around country antrim? Fish the river maine for salmon but tryed a few time for pike before the salmon were up with no luck. Pm if preferred.

I fish a top class lake that holds big fish. Very few people know it never mind would find there way back to it. It's fished pure shite all summer. I havnt seen it as bad. Can't understand why???

Went to a small lake yesterday eve to try for a couple of ducks.This lake is in the middle of no where at the back of beyond,lol,and when i reached the edge there was a couple of pallets tied to 5gl plastic drums where someone was using it as a raft.No kids or youngsters go near this place as its too awkward to get to,and there was also some empty beer cans in a plastic carry bag,so i reckon it was same breed of c**ts,lol,they wont be using the raft again.I dont know how they find these little lakes hidden away so well.

Yeah I know wat you mean fat man but the one I fish I've signs up saying no tresspassing and no fishing plus I've the farmer well wired off if he see's anyone near it to railroad them. So that's not the reason why I'm not catching if you get me ? Maybe it's just the weather still too mild

iI could not really answer that one as im not really into fishing for pike.The pike i catch are caught while im fishing for trout so not intensional.I had 1 this year at 14lb but seen a couple that were caught a lot bigger.

yeh because people read signs and obey what they say

signs wont make any difference at all to most folk, if they wana have a go they will no matter what

 

finding lakes is easy, google earth shows them all and then word of mouth, good fishing locations spread like wildfire between the foreigners!

and dont think kids wont go places, kids are more likely to get places adults wouldnt, trust me, nt long since i was in me nappys running around the countryside falling out of trees and swimming in 'secret' lakes

My pb is 26.5 lbs hoping to break the 30lb mark this year myself. There's a good thread on it I put up last year if you fancy a good read. Search 26.5 lb pike. You should get it.
