br4568hldrs 16
Thinking of buying a whipet, or small lurcher can anyone give me any advice on different cross breeds or show any pics. Wanted to help my terrier on rabbits and rats and general all round mouching, James Quote Link to post
Cannyboy 34
3/4 bedlington/ whippet, good little dog on rabbits and rats mate he aint really got the gears for bigger rabbits but he does for me. Quote Link to post
wuyang 513
I whippet or little lurcher would both do the job, just depends on personal preference as to what you prefer. Some whippets and bed/whippets can make cracking little ratters, i like personally like a lurcher with a dash of collie in it. Quote Link to post
MAACCY 105
I think a beddy x whippet would fit the bill Quote Link to post
br4568hldrs 16
Cheers guys, Any pics of your Bedlington whipets working? Have been reading a good book "Rabbiting Terriers" by David Bezzant, cracking read but theres a part that says lurchers and terriers should be avoided as hunting companions and you should stick to whipets for example. Bit scepticle myself like, know alot of good friends that own both and they work great together. Any one else herd of this before? If it is the case a Bedlington whipet would be the ideal with the terrier blood line in it. Quote Link to post
