Martin Tucker 23
Ginger Jack won the over 24` racing at Flourence Court and Mountcashel Ernie won the non-ped whippet racing in Birr at the weekend. Do they count as qualifiers ? If they do will try and make it up Sunday.
Guest Leanne23
i dare say ginger jack is qualified for it but ernie is a whippet greyhound so i dont think he would be leanne
longstone lad 1
think if you read martins post he said ernie win the non ped racing
Guest Leanne23
yeah i read it i wouldnt off replyed to it if i didnt clearly said non ped . are is that classed as full whippet as there is no non ped racing over here at moment so he would be classed as a under. just saying leanne
Martin Tucker 23
Ernie actually isn`t a Whippet/Greyhound he is a non-ped whippet/non-ped whippet. His breeding is well known ! http://www.k9community.co.uk/cgi-bin/nonped/pedigree.pl?op=tree&index=2221&gens=5&db=nonped.dbw He is a litter brother to leading UK veteran racer Racing Champion Showman. lurcher330 2,297
Ernie should not have been in that race that was meant to be for pure bred whippets with no papers
Guest Leanne23
he has greyhound in him dosnt matter if it is well back in the breeding still a lurcher to me. it is for pure bred whippets only. non peds are classed as a lurcher over here.

Martin Tucker 23
Tell the hundreds of people that race dogs like Ernie in the UK that they have Lurchers and the monthly magazine be renamed the Lurcher News and see what answer you get ! I ran Ernie in the class I deemed suitable for him, ie the non-ped Whippet section ! Why shouldn`t he ? He is a Racing bred Whippet, not a racing bred lurcher Had this argument numerous times and i`m afraid it don`t wash with me and it just shows how far out of date you are ! Move on and stop stirring sh**e. It`s only a bit of fun and a day out. I`ve been to plenty of meets with Ernie in his younger days and got stuffed by 45 lbs plus half breds and enjoyed the day ! Get a meet with a class for him and everybody starts throwing their toys out of their pram ! Grow up ! I have 100 plus greyhounds here and don`t need to go to these shows, I go for the day out and enjoy Ernie running. Racing here is second rate and always will be !
