Guest john5
wandered what peoples thoughts are on shooting english partridges ! how times have changed , 30 to 40 years ago you could fill your boots accross the country with grey partridges and now the game conservancy is saying dont shoot them unless they are sustainable if theres enough of them or you are releasing them then why not ?, lovely little game bird where we live we have tried releasing greys and the b*****d sparrowhawks take them Quote Link to post
Greek Phil 5
wandered what peoples thoughts are on shooting english partridges ! Do all that you can to preserve and enhance the wild stock, and only when you have a surplus consider shooting them. Quote Link to post

Lab 10,979
Can be a long and expensive drawn out process. If you do have a bit of ground you shoot on then introduce them over 5 years in as many numbers as you wish but dont shoot them till the 6 year... Quote Link to post
Greek Phil 5
Can be a long and expensive drawn out process. It certainly will be if you go about it the way you suggest. Quote Link to post
