i agree there. but my boss was showing her huskys and won a few prizes on the friday but the next day she was racing the same ones

Thats good, at bleast she is keeping them working, racing, (pulling ect) what they are bred for.

it did make me laugh when they said they look at the working dogs and to make sure they still have the capability of doing there job :laugh: that fox terrier would struggle with a rat :icon_eek: snipey weak jaw no good for out really !!!!!!!

big money to be made in showing,stud fee,s pups, i would bet theres not 10 out of 100 of them borders shown, ever seen or worked a fox. there bred for looks not deeds, and as ive said befor just look at the coats on the borders, all ways in tip top condition, which i think you could never get if you worked your terrier regular to ground or bushing.

Have to say it again Redrob, you can look after a dogs coat whatever they do! If you strip your Border out, it will grow back correctly, when it needs stripping again, do it again. If you let it get out of control, then of course it will be off in chunks, its dead hair and needs to be removed!

to my mind the bloodhound was the only honest dog in the final line up ,and they do bloodhound trials

with there dogs , we were laughing earlier in the day when the owner of the fox terrier was actually handling

in the ring ,i said its only because his friends judging ,and look where it got him ,as to it working omg it might mess its coat up :blink:

Yes i aggree with you about the bloodhound, atleast Sue works her dogs. Not sure about the fox terrier tho it might get a few scratches if it worked
