I don't and never will buy a dog off someone I don't know or doesn't come highly recommended. Only ever look on the sales section out of interest and to see what the spacker mongrels the mong boys are churning out :laugh:

I dont think theres much the mods can do,if they ban someone for being a peddler they'll just re-join under a new name.

I think it would be quite easily managed though. If your on here with 50 posts and half are about selling and the other half is about enquiring about dogs then thats an instant ban. Maybe there should be a time limit you should have to be on the site before you can sell a dog or maybe you have to have exceed a certain tally of posts. Lets face it a fiver aint going to stop someone specifically here to sell dogs. I'd vote for fcuktheban to be resident THL peddlar patrol..............

There are some that don't show up as peddlers because they respond to wanted ads without posting a for sale ad. I hope this thread gets the attention it deserves. It would be very hard for a moderator to follow everyones posts to figure out who the peddlers are. Sometimes it isn't just peddling but people that shouldn't be breeding crap or breeding too young.

Ther's hardly anything else offered in the livestock section except when ferrets are having loads of kits once a year.

Surely theres no need to do away with the entire for sale section...........maybe it would make sense to just put a stop on the selling of livestock,simple.......very few genuine working dog folk would buy an animal from someone they didnt know or had been recommended to......so really its only there for people new to working dogs......and peddlars.

Yes the poll is only about getting rid of the dog listings in the for sale section, I'd hope the dog wanted ads would be stopped too.
