Lots of financial/political reasons for keeping drugs illegal and I can understand reasons behind class A's, although I don't fully agree with them.

It's fun enough people going around drink driving, how would they get done for driving under the influence of pot? They would have to be taken in for a blood test. Could you imagine what the world would be like if all drugs were legal? The price of street drugs would drop because of the competition and anyone would have access to all sorts of highly addictive drugs including kids. Crime would increase and poverty would rish because the addicts would have no job and no money. You just want to be allowed to smoke the ganja while walking down the high street without hassle.
