Brilliant invention. We don't do the 6" off the ground. We stay at 12" All gates get the BW treatment. If I had my way we'd string it every where. Better than having them ripped apart by a pile of barbed wire in the grass
Greek Phil 5
Do you get many flies and ants ripped apart by piles of barbed wire in the grass around you then? Sorry I'm being deliberately obtuse. If they weren't doing what they orn't they wouldn't be any where near the wire. Edited August 26, 2011 by Greek Phil
fcuktheban 140
Do you get many flies and ants ripped apart by piles of barbed wire in the grass around you then? No and I don't get off on torturing animals, when you leave traps like that the dogs are the victims more than the people.
Bosun11 537
Never classed barb wire as an 'enemy' more of a 'occupational hazard', something to be avoided wherever possible, just a fact of life.... Those that revel in its over use and the damage it can do, now those I class as the enemy.
paulus 26
never understand why the need for 3 strands for cows??? Because the top strand is meant to be set at what is considered stock height ( four foot) and if you dont put two strands between that and the top of the netting then it will not serve purpose, in as much as that cows will put their heads between the bottom strand and the netting to either rub or eat from the hedge / boundry. so how come when they put an electric fence up for cattle its only one strand as you say at stock height ???
