PBurns 9
My dogs have had a few serious run ins with barbed wire as it is all over the place over here (an American invention, I am afraid). If the wound is very shallow, wash it out well and it will probably be fine. If it's a deep gash, you can close it with glue. Vetbond is made for animals, but plain old Crazy Glue works well and is as strong as a stitch for about a week. Re-apply if you need it to last a bit longer than that. Spot the glue on the seam as if you were spot welding. I have closed some major rips with this stuff and not only does it reduce scaring and promote quick healing, but it also has some anti-microbe properties as well http://terriermandotcom.blogspot.com/2006/...t-for-pack.html http://terriermandotcom.blogspot.com/2004/...e-for-dogs.html P. poacherjim 0
do you mean dettel ? no mate i do mean domestos, sounds severe but i can assure you it isn't been using it for years and never had any problems with it. rubbed in with a damp sponge after you've cleaned off the wound it's perfect. thought exactly the same as you mate when i first saw it used by an old huntsman up north, but even administered it when i've had cuts on my own hands and it's not been a problem and does exactly what it says on the bottle"kills all known germs" jesus fecking christ .........do your dog a favour mate and drink the fecking stuff next time.
