Guest vin
my young bitch had a nasty rip yesterday morning. She never made a sound and did'nt limp or anything but made quite a mess of her front leg on the barbed wire..another couple of inches to the right and it could have been a lot worse..she keeps jumping through the middle strand when in mid chase and yesterday she came off a bit worse for wear from doing so.. Few stitches and a week off and she,s be good as new..hopefully a little bit wiser. Quote Link to post
ianh 83
could of been a lot worse mate. on a side note - did you ever have much luck local last year mate? i think i may well have secured some permission local, just waiting to see if i can take the dog too, got it for netting and air rifles but not really what i wanna do. its very local so if it comes up your welcome for a night out there sometime. be better than travelling 200 miles 3 times a week! Guest vin
Had her stitched up at the vets yesterday..Could have got away with home remedies but did'nt want to take any chances of infection or further damage.. She looks a right wally with the daft collar on her neck to stop her nibbling the stitches.. I think its gonna take at least 10 days to get somewhere near healed, more likely be 14-20 days for a full recovery. So it looks like were gonna miss a few nights. Quote Link to post

I ended up doing quite well by the end of season..got it a bit better for this winter with a bit more ferretting to do this year and a few more permissions to go at..still doing lots of travelling to have really good nights, but also found a few local spots to keep the dogs ticking over inbetween good nights/days. Lot of mixy locally for our areas..but it does look like theres been an increase in populations locally also. anytime you fancy a walk..give me a shout mate...good to seee your still at it. atb Vin Quote Link to post

kabar 14
Had my dogs inside back leg stitched yesterday morning following a leap beneath the middle and bottom strands on a rabbit. Cost me £180, how much you lads get stung for. Edited August 27, 2011 by kabar Quote Link to post
