Another training session!

Rabbiteer accompanied me and Chalkwarren today, for another gruelling training session in the deadly art of rabbit catching.

 

The day was bright and warm, but things were serious and this was pointed out to Rabbiteer by Chalky, he had been warned that there was going to be none of the caper like last week and if he messed about, falling over and such like, then we would kill his favourite teddy bear.

 

 

 

 

We started off and set the longnets up, popped the ferrets in and stood back, soon there was flying bunnies everywhere.

 

 

 

 

That's when things started to heat up. Rabbiteer made a marathon run to reach the first netted rabbit.

 

 

 

 

After removing the "ex-rabbit" from the net, he looked surprised at how big they are

 

 

"Honey" accounted for several escapees, good job realy, cause the amount of time it took Rabbiteer to get the rabbits out of the longnets, we would still be there now

 

 

 

 

Another trying to make it to ground, unlucky!

 

 

 

 

He spent most of his time at the longnet and at one point me and Chalkwarren went off for a cuppa, when we came back he was STILL THERE

At this stage we'd had enough and told him to go and stand on his own and think about his actions

 

 

 

 

Once he'd mulled things over and had seen sense, he got into the swing of things and enjoyed himself, we even gave him his teddy back at the end of the day (unharmed of course).

 

 

 

 

 

All in all it was a good old day out

AT LEAST RABBITEER HAS GOT SOME DESCENT FOOTWEAR ON INSTEAD OF THE " JESUS SANDALS "

 

NOW ALL WE NEED IS A DECENT COAT FOR CHALKIE AND WERE OFF AND RUNNING

great fun had many along the scottish borders and localy after the good ole coney , going to fill the stew pot this week had to may mexican dishes going to have a good rabbit casserole all the best

It was a great day and didnt have to lay a single net!

Having spent all day in Chalkwarrens pocket I have sent Ted of for councilling, its touch and go but I think he will make it!
