Any diet which relies on only one or two ingredients will be lacking in certain nutrients: eventually. Its like someone who only eats bread and cheese: they might survive fine for a few years, but in the long term, the missing minerals, vitamins or whatever, could have a slow bad effect on overall health.

Calcium is one mineral which would be lacking in a diet solely composed of minced meat and flaked maize: neither of which has any calcium worth speaking of. I knew someone who reared a litter of pups just on beef heart and tongue: several broke legs at around a year old and blood tests revealed that they had nowhere near enough calcium in their bodies: if the owner had added a chicken carcase each time he fed the dogs they would have probably been fine/

I never said mince meat, my dogs are fed on chicken and bone that has been minced. They also get bones and lamb and beef but its meat the same as they get raw vegetables and scraps. I was just putting a general list of what I feed them.

As i know it dogs don't digest corn protein. Corn protein is used in dry foods to bulk it up and give a high protein reading. If you want to bulk you're meat up with dry get a mixer or better still increase the meat /fruit/veg intake.
