As much as you can mate, and i'd say as little as 10 mins or so when you are feeding them. As kits the really need as much as possible. But trust me, if you are half decent, you won't be able to keep away from them.

Handle handle as many times as possible and as long. dont not handle them as when they bite it hurt when there 16wks trust I just shot a nasty nasty hob jumped out the cage at me ment every bite bin like it for aweek. I got it last tuesday thourght i could handle it its stronger than my hand lol. I got 5 others which are great wont bit atall only get kits as young as poss never go older than an 12wk old.

For the first few weeks I handled my kits as much as possible, half hour in the morning, half hour when I got home and then an hour in the house playing at night.

 

Once they were 100% with being handled I dropped it off slightly, I now get them out for 5 mins in a morning when I feed them and then usually 10 mins to half hour at night, sometimes they come in the house for half hour and play with the dog.

 

I think once you've got the initial bond sorted then you only need brief regular handling to keep on top of it. But obviously the more you handle them the better.
