a good threequarter greyhound quarter bull will do anything a half cross will and more besides .this cross produced the best allround lurcher i have ever owned can anyone on here tell me what a half cross can will do that the threequarter cannot .and i mean pre or post ban .

a half cross will do evary thing better. the only thing a threequarter has got agenst a 1/2 cross is speed. try puting a 3/4 on 8 to 10 foxes a week. and a bet it will jack half way into the season. try putting 1 on a few fallow bucks week in week out and it will jack. and another thing 3/4 have no lung they blow out to quick for ma likeing. Tbh I think a lot of it depends on the line or even the ability.

 

Look at mayfield dogs for example, they were game in comparisson to what was here but they didn't have the jaw power. Now crossed into a lurcher they would have more jaw power than your traditional lurcher but would it be more then if you used say a jeep or bolio dog?

 

I have a dog here that can be traced back to danns/mcarthys general and he's a dog that can take punishment but has poor jawpower.

 

Another dog here can be traced to honeybunch/jeep dogs one side and bash/montanna the other side and he has a lot more power but not as hard.

its nice to be able to trace a line back dances,but what good is it if your keeping or breeding from culls from the lines you have mentioned,in your own threads you say how bad your dogs are,the catcher the runner the killer,all 3 wants culling imho.big names mean nothing if there offspring are culls.
