j1985 1,983
Would you say that a dog with 5 or so generations of bull x's of all percentages behind it but only a 1/4 bull on paper will have the same bull traits or more/less than a 1st x 1/4 bull ? As I'd assume that as there was more bull scattered about it's ped the traits will be easier to be passed down!! Make sense lol 1 Quote Link to post
csteed 40
c a good saying on some ones stat the other day, If your dog cant do the job on its own then leave it a home. Quote Link to post
j1985 1,983
Said the man just before the red stag snapped his bull x in two!! Then he cried, the end. Quote Link to post
chrisbullx 2,541
I've seen good and bad in all these xs each to they own I say atb cbx Quote Link to post
Guest sam
Think most of the older generation will go for the half x...simply because these are the base that they started out with...once you,ve owned a good half x he is definatley a hard act to follow...the second gen also being an exceptional animal..start adding extra greyhound to the mix then you end up with a faster animal but lose some of the traits of the bull..of course there are exceptions to the rule but imo they are few and far between..atb stabba not true i am only just 19 but i would still sooner have a 1/2 Quote Link to post
j1985 1,983
Again it depends what your game is!! Same as any Lurcher, horses for courses..I'd rather have a straight bull to be honest, if only they were faster lol Quote Link to post
nitestalker 28 209
Simply no point in arguing on which is better, each to their own but i'll bet ya all will...! My preference is for half crosses, i've had more fun with these than any other. Only owned half crosses, a mate has a really good 3/8 5/8 but to me when you go as far as a 3/4 you lose the "essence" of the bull cross, just my opinion in a half cross mate u mean bullhound x bullhound or bull x hound wat do u mak of a genuine bull to a hound atb tanx Quote Link to post
tag 29
had an old dog 3/8 5/8 x 3/4 1/4 , had the gears and did the rest not the most jaw power but made up for that in heart , never quit and never beat 87 lb 27 tts would have another tomorrow , Quote Link to post
