Irish Lurcher 1,013
Alright Horse, I had the same problem with my bitch, even if she got near the car she was sick. Every night for three weeks I took her for a spin around the estate, each night I went a little further, make sure you dont feed her before you take her out. Really the way forward is to take her out as often as you can, believe me he will stop being sick and live will return to normal. Try it for three weeks. Hope this helps. Quote Link to post
bill88 6
It'll more than likely be motion sickness,my dog's use to yack in the terrier box in the car.I lifted it up so they can see out the window, and voila! no more spew. The inner ear sense's movement but the dog isn't seeing any movement.Same as a boat at sea, if ye feel queasy look at the horizon.hth Quote Link to post

skycat 6,174
If the dog is shitting and spewing its most likely nerves: try feeding it in the car, sitting in the car with the dog for 20 minutes or so, first with the engine off, then try turning the engine on just for a few minutes. Sit WITH the dog, don't stick it in the boot/back etc. Progress can be very slow with this sort of thing. If the pup's very first journey in a vehicle was stressful it can affect them for life. Did you buy your pup in and where did it travel on the journey home? Quote Link to post
