jojolips 0
Im a firm believer there is no such thing as a bad dog only a bad owner, All the best with him im sure he will be fine. Thank you, i've always had good loving dogs but with all the hype surrounding this type of breed its very daunting. Thanks again, much appreciated. J

Jo There is a lot negative media coverage on these so its not surprising that people tend to believe what the media throws down their necks. Myself I believe that both full bull and bull crosses will be as good as or better around children then most other dogs when raised in a similar way. I have found them more tolerant when trod on or poked in the wrong way then others. Teaching the kids how to treat/pet dogs is as important as the other way round. chris k 205
At the end of the day a dog is how you raise it. you teach it to be a guard dog its gonna be a guard dog. you want it to be a fighting dog than guess what its gonna be. A pup is how you raise it!

Guest annette jackman
there are more attacks by collies believe it or not then pit, its press scare mongering that raises the profile of the pitt breed, as long as its socialised well, and you NEVER (that goes for any dog type) leave a child alone with your dog you'll be fine. My friend only has bull lurchers as he has children and swears by their temperment. Theres no bad dogs only bad owners. Just teach your children to respect the dog like dont bother it in its bed ect, and give it good bounderies, a good way to stop food aggression is to mix its food with your hand and fed it after you have eaten so it knows your top dog. Also start now with toys, bones ect taking them from the dog to stop item guarding. Dont worry enjoy your dog 90% are sofa surfers after a walk anyway PS it looks like it does not have alot of bull left in the line away, and dont tell people it has bull if your worried dont want to stigmatise the pup Edited August 24, 2011 by annette jackman
Sexy_Shot 5
As many people don't know, its the owner that the dog goes off, you only get a bad dog if your a bad owner, if your good with it and right with it , it in turn will be right with you Welcome to THL!!!
