6 month whippet

Recommended Posts

Had her about a week now, she's 6 months but she's very shy, don't think she's had anything done with her or had much if any interaction with people. She's very chilled out just lays in her bed and doesn't move. Do you think she just needs some time to settle in? Plus I didn't notice when I got her but her middle toes flat, I thought it had been broken but the vet said it's the tendon on it gone. Seems to have healed up fine she runs and turns on it fine, anyone ever had dog with this problem? And if so was all okay? Cheers

Give the dog time indeed, she has been imprinted by her former life. Make sure that some sort of ailness is not causing the behaviour. If she is not ill, try to do fun stuff. Maybe she is sensitive to ball throwing, or some good mouse digging and killing. Hook up with another young dog in the neighbourhood that is not aggressive.

I have never seen a tendon problem but when she can run with it she can run.

all the best,

L

TIMES a great healer both mentally and physically, will be a different dog in 6 month with a bit ov TLC. has for the SPRUNG TOE or flat toe nothing to worry about, had a racing dog with same never affected performance, still has the odd race now at ripe old age ov 7. hope this helps.
