Has any one in the North Wales area got a black eyed white ferret Jill for sale or swap for a polecat Jill or Hobb?

Or if any one has a black eyed white Hobb for loan please PM me cheers, Branch.

If you throw a poley and a BEW together mate I reckon you'll get mainly poley kits. I have done silver to silver and BEW to silver and got mainly poley kits. The silvers from the bew to silver mating gradually became bews though with their markings fading.

If you wanna try a silver and drive to Lpool area you can try mine.

I have sandy coloured hob and Jill (related) would like to bring in new blood as well as a new colour.

Have plenty of hobs so don’t want to get one of them really but have got space for a Jill.

I also have a silver hob but has a faint mask which I don’t want as they will be more than likely polecats too.

What do you recon?

The silver in my avatar turned nearly BEW and the little white footed poley was her daughter to a silver hob, I think there were seven kits and only 3 were silver. Apparently you shouldn't breed silver to silver or BEW to BEW like with merle dogs and your meant to use an outcross then back again. I didn't know that at the time.

If you can get hold of an albino jill try your silver over that thats what I got told when trying to breed BEW's and silvers.

Nice one gnipper! :signthankspin:

Any one got an albino Jill’s then!!

I know that it makes no odds to a ferret what colour they are its just I like breeding to get a ferret that has all the qualities that I am looking for in a working ferret.

And now that I am happy with there temperaments I would like them to be of a white colour due to the kind of terrain that I work them over and it makes for an exiting breeding season trying to achieve this.

Each to their own innit, I personally prefer silvers and whites but now and again i'll see an eye catching poley or sandy that i like. My best jill at the moment is a sandy (the eye eater  ) and i'm getting a poley hob soon.

well imho a ferrets a ferret regardless of the colour :hmm:

Maybe so but I wouldn't shag Dawn French just coz she's got a pussy, whats wrong with having stock you like the look of?

I do prefer light ferrets for working in brambles etc and my mad whippet sometimes takes a lunge towards my sandy jill when shes exiting a hole and realises halfway there that its a stinker :) but its each to their own isn't it.

You don't actually work yours do you??? :hmm:

More than likely poleys mate unless the poley had a silver or albino parent or something and you get lucky and get a couple of silver kits. Thats just going off what ive personally seen and seen on here etc there might be someone with a better idea of genetics but it will probably just say the same but posher :D

As I said im looking for a black eyed white not an albino if I need to breed an albino or two along the way then so more the better as I want a black eyed white stock bred to my persnol needs.

not a stock of albinos! as that would be easy!!

As I dont hunt with hawks what is it that makes them esier to train to albinos Millet?
