ok alix,when you say the best carp fishing in wales or england,what is it you are after,is it ie,maybe a day ticket water,or syndicate water,do you require plenty of fishing action with plenty of takes,or maybe sit it out for a few days in the hope of a lunker on the bank...carp fishing as really taken off in rescent years,and now the market caters for most anglers needs...be a little bit more specific in what your after and i"m sure a few carp fishing venues wil be put your way....good fishing :thumbs-up:

AND SOME GOOD DOUBLE FIGURER FISH AT

PETERSTONE FISHERY AT PETERSTONE S WALES

AND WITH A BIT OF LUCK TREDGER HOUSE SOON

WHERE THEIR ARE SOME GOOD CARP UP TO 40 POUND

AND PIKE UP TO 38 POUND GOOD ROACH/RUDD/TERCH

what it is, is my boyfriend used to do a bit of carp fishing.

im not really sure what he is looking for he just wants a couple of venue names to have a look at.

im not really into fishing i'm more in to falconry so i havent really got a clue what im talking about.

like a said he hasnt been fishing for a while and would just like some venue names to go and see whats about.

he said he used to go fishing in tredger house.

but we will have to see what happens there with them reopening it.

i have noticed alix,that south wales is shown on your location,so a few venues around that area,iff tredegar house does re-open,deffinately worth a go as mentioned,llyswen carp lakes near talgarth offer both syndicate and day ticket with a choice of lakes to get the buzzers screaming,llandridnod wells is throwing out a few fish,not as prolific as it was back in the 70"s,but the syndicate there is improving all the time,day ticket is also available there....hendre as been mentioned,also just up the road you have the morgans and woodstock lakes....i will add this one at the end,which is bryn bach park in the tredegar area,this one can be hard going,but the recent stock of fish are improving all the time...best of luck where ever you wet a line

hi thanks again for all the information.he went on tuesday to peterstone lake in newport caught 15 carp and a barbel.

so he enjoyed that and he has gone today to porthcawl so ill let u know how he gets on there

definatley llyn y gors , been there a few times and had goo dfish barbel carp and plaenty of silver fish. There's a match lake, pleasure lake,childrens lake and two specimen lakes with carp and cats. A onsite tackle shop etc here is a link it is well worth a look
