on saturday morning i picked up 5 rabbits, 3 trapped 2 snared,this morning i caught 8 . 5 snared and 3 trapped ,they were all old bucks

I caught a couple in some fenn traps this morning and one of them was as tough as old boots,but with a bit of pulling,tugging and swearing i finaly got its skin off

 

Well done on the trapping and snaring mate,what traps were you using?.

Are they LEGAL in the UK mate ?

Only the BMI and Victor Conybear are passed by the Ministry...

Its kinda important if ya get a pull....

Don't you have to pay any 'import duty' on them , or Carriage,.etc...?

I think they are only about £6.00 in this country

Best to stay within the law,...for the sake of trapping....

there not cheap traps,they are traps i bought cheaply,they are legal,there is no duty payable, and if you keep to the standard US mail 4 LB box postage is not to bad .i tried to buy traps, setters ,safetyholders,ETC in the UK but found no suppliers.

CW are you telling me that those traps are legal ?

 

The one i found that nearly killed my terrier was 4 x the size of that one your holding, i thought it was surly illegal. fecking thing was lethal.

Sounds like a nasty old thing BlackBob...(possibly a 220) and most definitely ILLIGAL in the UK..

The BMI Bodygrippers 116,110 and 55 are legal ...As are the Victor ConyBears..

If you get a chance,..take a quick glance at the Spring Traps Approval Order post at the top of this Snaring and Trapping page...Bodygrippers are lethal,..they MUST be used with extreme caution,..or we will end up losing them in the UK...All the best,..CHALKWARREN....

The tiny BMI 55..

victors ,the shops over there are very helpfull they treat you like royalty,they are very sales motivated, over here, they dont even bother to return your call.
